This forensic accounting case study is targeted at junior-level students, but could be utilized by most university-level students with a general understanding of accounting. The case is designed to provide an introduction to the forensic accounting process and to challenge the student teams to analyze evidence as part of an earnings management investigation. The case is based on a fictitious entity and situation, Lots of Books, Inc. (LOBI).

This popular forensic case study has been updated! The module has been refreshed to include a dataset to enable faculty to incorporate an analytical component.

Learning objectives

• Provide an introduction to forensic accounting

Delivery options
