In conjunction with the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit, the Firm released Advancing the Future of Women in Business: The 2022 KPMG Women's Leadership Summit Report. This fourth annual study examines how leaders today are being leaned on to provide stability amidst uncertainty.

Participants included more than 1,100 high-performing executive women who are 1-2 career steps away from the C-suite, with broad leadership experience representing various industries from Fortune 500 companies. The findings examine how leaders today are being leaned on to provide stability amidst uncertainty.

Key findings of the study include:

• Eighty-two percent of Executive women believe that business leaders must be trusted and provide stability more than ever in today's landscape.
• Eighty-seven percent report that mental health and burnout are now their most predominant considerations when balancing business goals and their team's best interests.
• Seventy-four percent say building and maintaining a strong culture focused on diversity, equity, and inclusions has become the new focus in their talent acquisition and retention strategy.

An enhanced focus on company culture:

• Eighty-nine percent additionally report that their organization's ability to recruit and retain talent has changed over the past two years.
• Seventy-eight percent of Executive women's companies have kept flexible hours and schedules to keep employees within the fold.
• Eighty-one percent of Executive women's companies have provided new or enhanced health and wellness of mental health benefits for their teams.
